The collaboration between Nick Fouquet and MycoWorks unites two creative forces that share a passion rooted in craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability. The capsule is a three-piece collection which include a bucket hat made of 100% Reishi™, an Ecuadorian straw hat with a Reishi™ band, and a baby suede felt hat with Reishi™ band and binding, all made at our Venice Headquarters.
Reishi™ is a premium, natural option for fine leather made from MycoWorks’ proprietary Fine Mycelium™ technology. Reishi™ features the inherent strength, durability and performance of Fine Mycelium™, with the revolutionary feature of customizability during growth to enable total creative control and new design possibilities.
“Several years ago, I was introduced to Matt Scullin by a colleague. Since that day, the idea of working with a sustainable and biomaterial such as MycoWorks Fine Mycelium™ leather alternative was exciting,” Fouquet said. “I’m always on the lookout for renewable fabrics to work with. We understood the collective potential of working together right away. To me, it's important to create and see the results, not premeditate the process. The moment I saw the MycoWorks Reishi™ leather alternative, I had to get my hands on it.”
